Meanwhile, there is news that a possible cyclonic system has formed over the south-east Arabian Sea and the nearby Lakshadweep area. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has given information in this regard. It has been told by the department that a low-pressure area is forming in the Arabian Sea and if it intensifies then it can take the form of a cyclone.

The Meteorological Department said that the cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep area and adjacent south-east Arabian Sea and Kerala coast has moved towards west-northwest. It is visible over the south-east Arabian Sea and adjacent Lakshadweep area, due to which a low pressure area is likely to develop over the south-east and adjoining east-central Arabian Sea during the next 48 hours.

When will Cyclone Tej arrive?

Meteorological Department officials said that the weather system is likely to move west-northwestwards and turn into a depression over the central Arabian Sea around October 21. However, the possible intensity of the cyclone has not been determined by the authorities.

Let us discuss here that the warm sea temperature makes the period between October and December favorable for the development of cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Because of this there is a possibility of storm. However, no tropical storm has been observed in the Arabian Sea during the post-monsoon season in 2022. Two tropical storms Sitarang and Mandaus were seen in the Bay of Bengal.
