The low-pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and Bengal and adjoining south Andaman Sea is very likely to intensify into a depression by today evening and thereafter over southeast Bay of Bengal on May 10, the bulletin said. And it can take the form of a cyclonic storm in the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of the Andaman Sea.

Heavy rain expected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at most places and heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands from Tuesday to Thursday.
