Deoghar: The graph of cyber crime cases is increasing. From January 2024 to March 2024, its graph has reached 40. According to the information received, within three months, the cyber police station has completed the investigation and filed a charge sheet against 162 named accused in the cyber crime case, the speedy trial of which is going on in the court of ADJ 2 cum special court. All the accused are from different police station areas of the district, against whom FIR has been registered in Cyber Police Station Deoghar. While registering the case, the police raided the house of the accused and recovered many smart phones, ATM cards, bank passbooks, cash, bikes, vehicles and other items. During the course of investigation, the IO has prima facie found the involvement of the accused in the crime and filed a charge sheet. Of these, testimony is going on in more than a dozen cases, while many cases are under consideration for framing of charges.
Special court has been formed for hearing
A special court has been constituted in the Civil Court campus to hear cases related to cyber fraud and information technology. Presently Additional District and Sessions Judge cum Cyber Crime Special Judge is Ashok Kumar-II. The police of cyber station register a case and send it to this court and after filing the charge sheet, the trial starts under the judicial process. Most of the sections of the Cyber Act are non-bailable.
Case Study-A
In the cyber crime case in the special court, the police filed a charge sheet against 11 accused Maneaz Das, Janardan Mandal, Naresh Das, Satyanarayan Kumar Mehra, Bihari Das, Manish Kumar, Virendra Das, Pramod Das, Babulal Raman, Baharuddin Ansari and Shahbaz Ansari. Have given. Here the court has taken cognizance against the accused. The matter is under consideration.
Case Study-Two
Cyber police station has completed investigation in another case and filed a charge sheet against four accused in the court. In this, the special judge has taken cognizance against Sanjeev Kumar, Mohd. Azmat Ansari, Mohd. Safaruddin Ansari and Mohd. Usman Ansari. The next hearing date of this case has been fixed on April 2.
