Today, he has ordered a judicial inquiry into corruption, violence, election campaigning and misuse of university campuses for political purposes in West Bengal. Recently, allegations of sexual harassment of women and land grabbing were leveled against local leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress in Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district. This order for a judicial inquiry by the Governor was given by State Education Minister Bratya Basu on March 30.
