Prayagraj news: The Allahabad University of Uttar Pradesh is in the news for the Central University Entrance Test (CUET). In fact, even though the Central University of Allahabad has not been able to make a place in the top hundred in terms of ranking. But, in terms of admission, it has made a special place in the whole country.
Allahabad University became the choice of more than one lakh girl students
More than 3.43 lakh students from across the country have opted for Allahabad University in the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The special thing is that more than one lakh girl students are included in these. Allahabad University is at the third place after Delhi University and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), which has been preferred by such a large number of students.
In Prayagraj, there is a lot of discussion about this among the girl students along with the teachers. Everyone is seeing this as the achievement of Allahabad University. It is being said that in the coming days, Allahabad University will be able to make its place among the top universities of the country due to the better level of education.
Double applications for admission in B.Sc.
There are twice as many applications for admission to BSc as compared to BA. Maximum 70773 applications have been made for BSC Maths and out of these 20011 are girl students. After this, 66947 candidates have opted for Allahabad University for admission in BA, out of which 28400 are girl students. At the same time, 60211 applications have come for BSC Bio on the third number and in these 32679 girl students are included.
Apart from this, a total of 50054 applications have come for B.Com, out of which 18848 are girl students. 760 girl students out of 2306 applications for BPA, 3057 out of 6109 applications for BFA, 14780 out of 36253 applications for BALB, 3010 out of 7424 applications for Five Year Integrated Program B.Sc in Family and Community Sciences (Home Science) and MMC.
Whereas, 2238 female students out of 9255 candidates for BCA, 2066 female students out of 8729 candidates for five-year BCA and MCA in Data Science, 1404 female students out of 6589 candidates for Bivoc Software Development, 829 female students out of 2679 candidates for Bivoc Media Production, For BA Media Studies, out of 3884 candidates, 1430 girl students have made Allahabad University their first choice.
Apart from this, out of 4512 candidates for the five-year food technology program, 1725 are girl students. On the other hand, out of 3488 candidates for Bivoc Food Processing, 1293 girl students and out of total 4737 candidates for BA Fashion Design and Technology, 2403 girl students are included, who have chosen Allahabad University as an option.
Admission will be taken in six courses
Under the new education policy in Allahabad University from session 2023-24, admission will be taken in six courses through CUET. For two of these courses, no candidate filled the option of EVV in CUET. These include a five-year integrated course in disaster management and environmental studies and a five-year integrated program in management (BBA and MBA).
Important thing is that till now only a few candidates have done online registration for admission in both these courses in Allahabad University. It is believed that due to lack of information about the commencement of these two new courses in Allahabad University, the candidates did not opt for Allahabad University. At the same time, on coming to know, registrations are being done fast.
Competition of candidates for registration
After the declaration of the results of the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the candidates who have registered online for undergraduate admission in the University of Allahabad (IVV) have started competing.
Estimate of merit going higher due to more registration
Professor JK Pati, Director of Admissions, Allahabad University said that the number of applications opting for Allahabad has been more than last year. The special thing has been that 242 universities are included in it. On the other hand, university officials say that due to more options and more registration, the merit is expected to go higher.
Last date for online registration 28 July
Under the new education policy, admissions will be made to five-year integrated BCA and MCA courses in data courses, five-year integrated programs (BCA and MCA) in family and community sciences (BCA and MCA), five-year integrated courses in home science, disaster management and environmental studies, five-year integrated (BALLB Honours) courses in law and five-year integrated (BBA and MBA) courses in management. The last date for online registration for all these courses has been fixed as 28th July.
