Three criminals riding a bike have committed robbery by holding a jewelery shop owner and a customer hostage at gunpoint. By the time the shopkeeper raised an alarm, the three criminals came running down from the shop located on the first floor. Then waving the pistol, Ramdayalu fled towards Gumti on the bike.

Police started investigation

After receiving information about the incident, SSP Rakesh Kumar, City SP Awadhesh Saroj Dixit, ASP Town Bhanu Pratap Singh, Sub-Divisional Police Officer 2 Vinita Sinha, Kazimohammedpur SHO Manoj Kumar Sah, Sadar SHO Asmit Kumar and DIU in-charge Lal Kishore Gupta reached the spot with the police team. But arrived. Went inside the jewelery shop and investigated. Detailed information regarding the incident has been taken from shopkeeper Vinod Das, his son Gopal Kumar and staff Sonu Kumar. The CCTV cameras installed in the shop and in the direction of the criminals’ escape have been examined. The pictures of the criminals have been captured in the footage. On the basis of this, raids are being conducted to identify them and arrest them.

Started the shop five months ago

Vinod Sah, owner of Calcutta Jewelery Shop, said that he is originally a resident of Sondho village of Goraul police station in Vaishali district. Bought land and built my house on Ramdayalu Road in Muzaffarpur a year ago. Then, in the month of November last year, Calcutta Jewelery Shop was launched. Earlier his shop was running in Ramdayalu Nagar Road.

The criminal entered the shop saying he wanted to buy a gold chain.
Vinod Sah, owner of the jewelery shop, said that on Wednesday afternoon at 1:45 pm, a criminal entered the shop posing as a customer. He took off the helmet from his head and placed it on the counter. He had gone to his flat located on the second floor to take bath. His son Gopal and staff Sonu were sitting at the counter. As soon as his son brought out the box containing the gold chain, the criminal said, “Take out the heaviest chain, we will spit on it and come back in a minute.” After this he entered inside from outside with two more of his companions. Took out all three pistols. Said to put all the gold chain in this bag otherwise we will shoot. Threatening the female customer, she said that if she indulges in any kind of deceit, she will have to risk her life. The criminal kept all the boxes of gold chains in the bag. The criminals have taken away about 675 grams of gold and one kilogram of silver.

Formation of SIT to arrest the robbers
To arrest the robbers, SSP Rakesh Kumar has formed a SIT under the leadership of City SP and ASP Town. Out of the three criminals captured in CCTV, one has his face exposed. His age is said to be between 30 to 35 years. That yellow T-shirt with A written on it. And is wearing light colored jeans. The second culprit was wearing sky blue colored t-shirt, blue cap and black jeans. His age is between 22 to 25 years. The identity of the third criminal is not clear. He was wearing a mask.

CCTV footage is being examined

About 674 grams of gold and one kilogram of silver was looted from a jewelery shop on Ramdayalu Road near RDS College. The CCTV footage installed in the shop is being examined.
