Domchanch: CPI(ML) Local Committee Domchanch held a meeting in Tola Levada of Nawadih of Bangakhalar Panchayat regarding the electricity problem. It was presided over by Akhilesh Raj alias Chhotu Murmu. It was informed in the meeting that since November 5, due to high electricity bill outstanding, the electricity connection of all the tribal houses in village Karmikund, Nawadih, Ahrai, Levada has been disconnected, due to which there is a lot of disruption in the studies, studies and festivals of the children. Having to face trouble.
A few years ago, the department had given electricity connection to a tribal family living below the poverty line. Meanwhile, power supply was not provided regularly. Addressing the meeting, Male District Secretary Rajendra Mehta said that on one hand the Jharkhand government talks about providing 100 units of free electricity, while on the other hand the poor tribals have to face darkness.
The electricity department should waive off the electricity bills of all consumers and restore electricity immediately. If the electricity problem in the said tribal villages is not resolved, then CPI(ML) will intensify the mass movement.
