CPIM Manifesto: Marxist Communist Party promises to remove UAPA, PMLA and CAA

CPIM Manifesto: CPM leaders Brinda Karat, Sitaram Yechury and Prakash Karat released the party’s manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections. The CPI(M) appealed to voters to defeat the BJP, strengthen the Left and ensure the formation of an alternative secular government at the Centre. In its manifesto, the party has promised to fight vigorously for the principle that religion is separate from politics. The manifesto says, CPI(M) is adamant to abolish all the harsh laws like UAPA and PMLA.

Sitaram Yechury called for forming an alternative secular government at the Center

On the release of the CPI(M) manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, party general secretary Sitaram Yechury said, Our appeal to the voters of India is that the secular, democratic republic of India is today facing an existential threat and our The task is to protect the character of the Republic of India in accordance with the Constitution, we appeal to the voters to defeat the BJP and its allies. He further said, increase the seats of CPI and Left parties in Parliament and ensure that an alternative secular government is formed at the Centre.

The Marxist Communist Party said it will fight for a law against hate speech and crimes, committing to scrap the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019.

Budgetary allocation for MNREGA should be doubled

The CPI(M) promised to tax the country’s richest class and bring a law on general wealth tax and inheritance tax. The Left party said the budgetary allocation for MNREGA should be doubled and a new law should be made to guarantee urban employment.

Elections for 18th Lok Sabha begin from April 19

Elections for the 18th Lok Sabha in the country will start from April 19. After this, voting will be held in six more phases on 26 April, 7 May, 13 May, 20 May, 25 May and 1 June. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.
