9 cases of corona were reported in Delhi, one died

A 28-year-old man suffering from multiple co-morbidities died, the primary cause of which was not Covid, the official said. The person was not from Delhi and was recently sent to a private hospital. He had many other diseases and was diagnosed with Covid. The person’s sample has been sent for genome sequencing and the report is awaited.

Cases of JN.1 subform of corona virus in India increased to 109
40 new cases of JN.1 subform of corona virus have been reported in the country and with this the cases of this form of infection have increased to 109. 36 cases were reported in Gujarat, 34 in Karnataka, 14 in Goa, nine in Maharashtra, six in Kerala, four each in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu and two in Telangana. He told that most of the patients are currently in isolation at home.
New variants of Corona are being monitored
NITI Aayog member (health) Dr VK Paul had said last week that the new sub-variant is being closely monitored. He also stressed on the need for states to speed up investigation and strengthen the monitoring system. Officials had said that even though the number of cases is increasing and cases of JN.1 subtype have been reported in the country, there is no need to worry at the moment. 92 percent of the people infected with the infection are taking recovery at home, which shows that it is not serious.
87 new cases of corona virus in Maharashtra, two infected died
87 new cases of corona virus have been found in Maharashtra and the death of two infected people has been confirmed. The Health Department said in a release that 19 cases of Covid have been found in Mumbai, while one case each has been confirmed in Pune city and Sangli district. A day earlier, 37 infected people were confirmed in the state.
