Counting of votes for Dumri by-election will start in some time, the fate of Baby and Yashoda Devi will be decided.

The counting of votes for the Dumri assembly by-election will take place from 8 am today. The fate of six candidates will be decided in a total of 14 rounds of counting. The main contest is between JMM candidate Baby Devi and AJSU candidate Yashoda Devi. The veteran leaders of India and NDA alliance will be eyeing this election result.

Tight security arrangements have been made at the counting venue in Giridih. Election Commission and district administration officials will be present during the counting of votes. Political parties have made special preparations from their level. Party workers will be present in the counting hall during the counting of votes. They have been instructed to reach Giridih Market Committee by 6 am.

Tight security arrangements regarding counting

The counting of votes for the Dumri assembly by-election will take place on Friday. District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police have issued a joint order to maintain security and law and order during the counting of votes. It was said in the order that in order to make the vote counting work smooth and peaceful, deputation of magistrates and police force has been done at various places.

During the counting of votes, all the deputed counting personnel and the deputed police force have been instructed to reach the polling center located at Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Pachamba by 06:00 am. The counting of votes will start from eight o’clock. Vajragriha will be opened at 06:45 in the morning. Therefore, finish the preparations for the counting work before 8 o’clock, so that the counting of votes can start at 8 o’clock.

Deputation of Officers:

Officers have been deputed for security and law and order. Sadar SDO Vishaldeep Khalko will be in charge of Senior Magistrate. Meanwhile, SDPO Sadar Anil Kumar Singh has been deputed as senior police officer. Central Security Force E/190 battalion has been deputed for the security arrangements of the counting hall, Vajragriha and media center established in the premises of the market committee. Khorimhua’s SDO Manoj Kumar will be in overall charge of this.

Apart from this, NREP’s junior engineer Nagendra Kisku has been deputed as magistrate near the pond behind the counting hall and Manish Kumar, assistant engineer of Drinking Water and Sanitation Division 1, has been deputed as magistrate between the entrance of the counting hall. Armed forces have been deputed for security outside the Market Committee building.
