Corona New Variant JN.1: After increasing cases of Corona, security has been increased in many states across the country. Till now, cases of new variants of Corona have been reported in many states. In such a situation, in this cold season, when this corona is becoming active again, people have been advised at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. Dr. AK Bhalla, Secretary of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, has said that in view of the increasing cases of Corona and many other infections, it is advisable to wear masks in the OPD of the hospital. The hospital has given this order as a precaution so that other diseases including corona can be prevented from spreading among the people.

First case of JN.1 form of virus confirmed in Delhi

Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said on Thursday that he has given instructions to do genome sequencing of the samples confirmed to have coronavirus infection so that cases of JN.1 form can be detected. Speaking to PTI’s video service, he said the government has increased Covid testing and 636 samples were tested on Wednesday. Saurav Bhardwaj had confirmed the first case of JN.1 form of the virus in Delhi on Wednesday.

702 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, 702 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the country and the number of patients under treatment increased to 4,097. The Health Ministry gave this information on Thursday. According to the data updated by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare till 8 am on Wednesday, six people have died due to Corona virus infection in the last 24 hours. According to the ministry’s data, in the last 24 hours, two patients have died due to Covid-19 in Maharashtra and one each in Karnataka, Kerala, West Bengal and Delhi.

Nearly four and a half crore people infected with Corona in four years

On December 22, 752 new cases of infection were registered in the country. There has been a rise in cases of infection in recent times due to cold and the new form of corona virus. Earlier, by December 5, the number of daily cases had come down to double digits. In almost four years from the beginning of the year 2020 till now, more than 4.5 crore people have been infected with Corona virus across the country and it has caused more than 5.3 lakh deaths. According to the Health Ministry website, the number of people recovering from the infection has increased to 4.4 crore. The national recovery rate is 98.81 percent. According to the ministry, 220.67 crore doses have been given so far under the anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign in the country.
