Corona In Bihar: Ten year old girl in Rohtas corona positive, health department alert, instructions to increase investigation

Corona virus cases have started increasing once again in Bihar. On Monday, the first patient infected with Corona was found in Rohtas district and the fourth in the state. A total of 76 people were tested in the district on Monday, out of which 52 were done through RTPCR and 24 through antigen kits. During the last 24 hours, 3800 samples have been tested across the state.

Four corona infected in Bihar

Instructions to increase the number of tests

Instructions given to civil surgeon to take test reports from private labs also

Civil surgeons have been given the responsibility of receiving all the test reports of Corona virus. After the detection of four new Corona infections in the state, civil surgeons have been instructed to also obtain the test reports conducted in private labs of their district. In this, regular reports of investigations conducted in private medical college hospitals should also be obtained.

Instructions to compulsorily examine these patients

In the instructions sent by the department to civil surgeons, it has been said that apart from government hospitals, all types of fever, cough and respiratory diseases including ILI (Influenza Like Illness) and SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory) will be treated in private hospitals, nursing homes and laboratories. A coordination meeting should be held regarding mandatory Covid testing of infection patients. If the test report comes positive, then in such a situation, samples of all those patients should be sent to Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna for genome sequencing. Also, reports of ILI and SARI cases should be uploaded regularly on the Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) portal.
