Corona challenge

Cases of infection with the new form of corona virus JN.1 have been reported in nine states of the country. Yesterday, 529 new cases were reported and five people died. More than twice as many people got infected on Wednesday as compared to Tuesday. This virus infection was detected for the first time in Kerala on the 8th of this month. At present, most of the infections are in Gujarat and Karnataka. But it is a matter of satisfaction that there is no possibility of the situation worsening anywhere and the scope of investigation is being expanded. Symptoms are minor in most of the infected. In Karnataka, the infected people have been instructed to stay at home. All the states have reviewed the system of testing and treatment at their level and the Union Health Ministry is also keeping an eye on the situation. Corona testing of patients suffering from respiratory infection has been made mandatory at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. AIIMS has also given many suggestions for the people. If a person is having trouble breathing, cough and fever in the last ten days, then he should get tested for corona. A few days ago, the World Health Organization had given instructions to keep an eye on the virus and infection and said that according to the information so far, this virus is not fatal and it is causing only normal diseases.

Indian experts have also underlined that the risk of death or becoming seriously ill due to infection is higher in those patients who already have a very serious illness. This fact is also reassuring that the vaccines taken during previous viruses are also capable of combating this virus. According to the Health Ministry, more than 220 crore doses of vaccines have been given so far, but less than 23 crore booster doses have been taken. 97 percent of eligible citizens of the country have taken the first dose, while 90 percent of such people have also taken the second dose. The ministry has asked states to speed up testing, but has also advised that there is no need to take additional booster doses for the new virus. It is noteworthy that the vaccination campaign conducted in India is the largest campaign in the world. Due to free vaccine distribution by the government, almost every person was able to get the dose. Due to this campaign, we can face the challenge of infection with confidence today. During and after the pandemic, facilities in hospitals have not only increased, but experts and doctors also have extensive knowledge and experience.
