In Aman village of Parasbigha police station area of Jehanabad, two brothers were shot dead on Saturday evening, in which a young man died on the spot. The deceased Subodh Kumar (22 years) was the son of Awadhesh Mahato of Aman Parpati. At the same time, the condition of Santosh Kumar, his cousin and son of Suresh Mahato, is critical due to bullet injuries in his stomach and arm. Doctors have referred him to PMCH from Sadar Hospital. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police and SDPO Rajiv Kumar of Parasbigha police station reached the spot and started investigating the matter. It is said that the accused Dharamveer alias Badal is associated with a banned organization and has also gone to jail several times.
There was a dispute while playing cricket
It is said that on Friday evening many youths were playing cricket in the field near the village. During this, Dharampal Kumar had a dispute with Subodh. Regarding this matter, Dharampal’s brother Dharamveer alias Badal was ambushed along with the boys near the Shiva temple near the village on Saturday. Awadhesh Mahato told that a wedding procession was about to come to Narsingh Mahato’s place in Gotia. The son was sent from home to help in welcoming the procession. Meanwhile, Dharamveer and Dharampal started abusing near the Shiva temple. When Subodh protested, he took out his pistol and shot. During the dispute, cousin Santosh Kumar was also shot twice, due to which he fell seriously injured.

Relatives allege that Dharamveer fired several rounds to create panic. When hundreds of people gathered around the news of the shooting, the accused fled. The villagers brought both the bullet-injured youths to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared one dead. After the incident, the relatives of the deceased are in bad condition by crying.
