The deceased Subodh Kumar (22 years) was the son of Awadhesh Mahato of Aman Parpati. Regarding this matter, Dharampal’s brother Dharamveer alias Badal was ambushed along with the boys near the Shiva temple near the village on Saturday. Awadhesh Mahato told that a wedding procession was about to come to Narsingh Mahato’s place in Gotia. The son was sent from home to help in welcoming the procession. Meanwhile, Dharamveer and Dharampal started abusing near the Shiva temple. When Subodh protested, he took out his pistol and shot. During the dispute, cousin Santosh Kumar was also shot twice, due to which he fell seriously injured.

The villagers brought both the bullet-injured youths to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared one dead.
