Construction work on Corridor One of Patna Metro picks up pace, first U-girder of second elevated section launched

Patna Metro Project: The first U-girder of the second elevated section on Corridor One (Danapur to Mithapur via Bailey Road to Patna Junction) of Patna Metro Project was launched near Mithapur on Friday. With the help of a crane, it will be launched between two pier caps. The process of laying the metro track and construction of the station will take place on this U-girder in the future.

The elevated section of Corridor One is divided into two parts

According to official information, the elevated section of Corridor One is divided into two parts. The first part is from Danapur to Patliputra station (Bailey Road) while the second part is from Mithapur, Ramakrishna Nagar and Jaganpura. Apart from this, all the stations from Rukanpura to Patna station on Bailey Road are in the underground section. The launching of the U-girder on the first elevated section of Corridor One was started on September 15.

Total 14 stations in Corridor-One

It is noteworthy that U girder is pre-cast in the casting yard. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official said that there are a total of 14 elevated and underground stations in the 17.93 km long Corridor-One.

These will include Danapur Cantonment, Saguna Mod, RPS Mod, Patliputra, Mithapur, Ramakrishna Nagar and Jaganpura elevated stations. Whereas Rukanpura, Raja Bazaar, Patna Zoo, Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan, Patna Station are underground stations. Patna station and Khemnichak are interchange stations. The length of the elevated track is 7.42 km while the length of the underground track is 10.51 km.

Metro station got three plots of land outside Gandhi Maidan

Here, on Friday, the Cabinet has approved three different plots for Gandhi Maidan Metro Station. The Cabinet has approved the transfer of 0.1384 acre land of the Road Construction Department of the Tamtam Stop located at Gandhi Maidan in Mauza Muharrampur to the Urban Development and Housing Department for Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited on payment of approximately Rs 12 crore. Along with this, approval was given to transfer the 0.016 acre road construction land in front of Shri Krishna Memorial Hall of the same Mauza to Patna Metro Rail Corporation on a total payment of Rs 1 crore 44 lakh. Approval has also been given to transfer 0.0676 acres of road construction land on the footpath (west of the temple) outside the Gandhi Maidan boundary wall to Matna Metro Rail on payment of Rs 5 crore 46 lakh 84 thousand.
