Involved in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s dream project Bapu Tower Common people will soon be able to see the excellent design and facts related to Mahatma Gandhi in it. The construction of this 120 feet high Bapu Tower building in Gardnibagh, Patna has been completed. It will be inaugurated on February 4. For this, the finishing touch is being given to it by the building construction department.
The foundation stone of Bapu Tower was laid on 2 October 2018. The deadline to complete it was 28 November 2021. When the work was not completed, it was extended to 31 December 2022. Instructions were given to extend it again and finish it by the end of June 2023. Now the construction of this tower has been completed and it will be inaugurated on 4th February.
Bapu Tower is based on high standards and scientific techniques of environmental management and sustainable development. Green technology is being used in this. This is the first building in the country whose entire exterior has been covered with copper. Who is spreading shine. Not only this, its beauty increases further when the lights come on at night.
In this building, there will be an excellent exhibition of historical events related to the life of Mahatma Gandhi, Gandhi’s thoughts, his role in the freedom struggle, his attachment to Bihar, the work done by the Bihar government to establish Bapu’s ideals among the common people, etc.
The total area of the plot is seven acres and the total built up area is 10503 square meters. The tower houses various galleries, research centres, lounges for distinguished guests, administrative offices etc. In this, Bapu’s biography, education, ideals, values and his love for Bihar have been shown very well. It will prove to be very useful for children, students, researchers and those interested in Gandhiji’s principles.
According to the information, tourists will use gate number one on Gardanibagh Main Road to enter Bapu Tower complex. Parking facility for about 200 vehicles will also be available here.
Bapu’s biography will be shown to the tourists through a turn table theater show in the circular building of Bapu Tower. While roaming here, tourists will be able to know about the life, struggle and history of Bapu.
