Land acquisition stalled due to non-receipt of NOC from Railways

Here, there is a hindrance due to non-receipt of NOC from the Railways for acquiring land for the construction of elevated road between Danapur and Bihta. An elevated road is to be constructed by acquiring land near Danapur Railway Station. Official source said that talks are going on between the Railways and the Road Construction Department to transfer the land from the Railways. The matter has not been completed yet. It is known that about 21 km elevated road is to be constructed between Danapur and Bihta. It will take 20 to 25 minutes from its construction to Bihta. There will also be convenience in commuting from Patna to Bihta. An international airport is to be built in Bihta. Besides, people of other districts including Arrah, Buxar, Sasaram, Aurangabad will also get benefit from the elevated road.

Now only five acres of land has been acquired

About five acres of land has been acquired out of 64 acres. Due to slow land acquisition process, compensation worth Rs 33 crore has been distributed among the tenants. About 45 acres of land has to be acquired from the ryots. There is also a problem in land acquisition due to non-receipt of NOC from Railways. Despite the district administration issuing notices for land acquisition, applications from tenants are coming in less. Official source said that applications have not been received from Bajitpur and Patsa Mauza. Even after setting up camps in Kanhauli and Bihta for distribution of compensation in both the Mauzas, people are not taking interest. Application regarding land rate is not being submitted. 0.95 acres of land is to be acquired in Bajitpur and 0.67 acres of land in Patsa. Here compensation of about Rs 11 crore is to be distributed among the ryots.

195 crore compensation to be distributed

About Rs 195 crore compensation is to be distributed among the ryots. Apart from this, out of 19 acres of government land, about 10 acres is of railway land and about nine acres is Bakast land. Apart from the DCLR and CO of Danapur, the CO of Bihta is investigating for the rationalization of Bakast land. In the land acquisition, there are nine mouzas of Danapur zone and 12 mouzas of Bihta zone.

More government land in Badalpura and Chhoti Khagaul

There is more government land in Mauza Badalpura and Chhoti Khagaul. About 10 acres of railway land is to be acquired near Danapur station. The district administration has been asked to give NOC regarding providing land to the Railways. Along with this, there are more than 300 permanent and temporary encroachments. Action is underway to remove encroachment from the district administration. Despite this the land has not been completely vacated.
