Earlier assault, beaten with belt on complaining
According to the information, Karishma Kumari is posted as a constable in the Dial 112 team posted in New Godam area. Let us tell you that Karishma Kumari is a resident of Kabala village under Pakribarawan police station area of Nawada district. Sanjay Kumar Singh, the constable on duty with him, started fighting with him and also abused him at around 10 o’clock on Sunday night. When the woman constable reached Kotwali police station to complain about this incident and complained about this action of the constable to Kotwali police station chief Baban Baitha. Meanwhile, constable Sanjay Kumar Singh thrashed the woman constable with his belt in front of everyone in the police station premises.
Case registered, accused arrested
During the fight, the constable also misbehaved with the female constable and also threatened to kill her. On the statement of the victim Karishma Kumari, Kotwali Police Station President Baban Baitha registered a case against the accused constable Sanjay Kumar Singh under sections 341, 323, 353, 354, 504 and 506. Along with this, the police station in-charge has also corresponded with the senior officers regarding the action against the accused constable. SSP Ashish Bharti told that the accused constable Sanjay Kumar Singh is a resident of Noorpur Nathnagar under Nathnagar police station area of Bhagalpur district, he has been arrested. Preparations are being made to present him in the court and send him to jail. Police is taking further action in this matter.
