Congress, which won the electoral battle in Karnataka on the basis of its five guarantee scheme, is once again trying the same trick in Telangana. Congress has come up with 6 guarantee schemes for the people of Telangana elections. Former national president of Congress Sonia Gandhi addressed a public meeting in Tukkuguda near Hyderabad. During this, he presented 6 guarantee schemes to the people on behalf of the party. Addressing the public meeting, Sonia said that we are announcing six guarantees and we are committed to fulfill every guarantee. She announced the guarantee of Mahalaxmi Yojana under which after the formation of the Congress government, the women of Telangana will get two and a half -Will provide financial assistance of two and a half thousand rupees per month. Apart from this, Sonia Gandhi has also announced gas cylinder for Rs 500 and free travel for women in State Transport Corporation buses.
What is Congress’s six guarantee scheme?
Speaking at the meeting, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi said that my dream is to form a Congress government in Telangana which will work for all sections. During this, Sonia Gandhi also appealed to the people to vote in favor of Congress. Sonia Gandhi also said that I am very happy that Congress along with its allies got the opportunity to be a part of the birth of this great state Telangana. He said that now it is our duty to take it to new heights.
Six big election promises of Congress
1. Mahalaxmi Guarantee Scheme: Congress has announced regarding Telangana elections that if Congress government is formed in the state, then the women of Telangana will be given financial assistance of two and a half thousand rupees per month.
2. Griha Jyoti Guarantee Scheme- Apart from this, Congress has promised to provide free electricity to all the houses in the state. Congress said that if our government is formed then we will provide 200 units of free electricity to all the houses.
3. Rythu Bharosa Guarantee- Congress has said that if the party forms the government in the state, farmers will be given financial assistance of Rs 15,000 annually. Apart from this, Congress has expressed confidence of providing assistance to 12000 agricultural labourers. Congress has promised to give a bonus of Rs 500 on the paddy crop.
4. Yuva Vikasam- Congress has also left no stone unturned in wooing the young students. In its election promises, Congress has promised to give Vidya Bharosa cards worth Rs 5 lakh to students. Congress has said that if their government is formed in the state, then a Telangana International School will be opened in every division.
5. Cheyutha- Under this guarantee, Congress has promised that a monthly pension of Rs 4000 will be given. Apart from this, people will get Rajiv Aarogyasri insurance of Rs 10 lakh.
6. Indiramma Indu Guarantee: Through its guarantee scheme, Congress has also promised that people who do not have their own houses will be given houses and Rs 5 lakh. Not only this, Telangana agitators will be given plots of 250 square yards.
It is noteworthy that Congress has geared up for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections including Telangana. In this context, a two-day meeting of the new CWC was organized by the party. In the meeting, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, while giving advice to the party leaders in the extended working committee meeting, said that they should be disciplined and united and should keep aside their personal differences and give priority to the success of Congress and not do anything which may cause loss to the party. In the meeting of the Extended Working Committee of Congress, the strategy for the next Lok Sabha and assembly elections of five states including Telangana, strengthening the organization and some other topics were discussed.
