Congress will contest elections on seven guarantees, said CM Ashok Gehlot, also targeted Amit Shah

Rajasthan Election: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Tuesday that Congress will contest the elections on the seven guarantees announced for the people of the state. In a press conference in the ‘War Room’ of the State Congress Committee here, Gehlot also targeted Home Minister Amit Shah and said that he is not aware of the issues of the state. He said that seven important guarantees have been promised to the people of the state and when the Congress government is formed, guarantee camps will be organized.

‘One thousand guarantee camps will be set up in Rajasthan’

He said, “With the intention of reaching two crore people, if the Congress party forms the government, one thousand guarantee camps will be set up across Rajasthan.” Gehlot said that more announcements will be made in the election manifesto. He accused BJP of misleading people and said that the election campaign will focus on the real issues of Rajasthan. Responding to Home Minister Amit Shah’s statements at three rallies in Rajasthan on Tuesday, Gehlot questioned Shah’s understanding of the state’s issues.

‘Targeted at the Center regarding ED raid’

He said that Shah has no knowledge about the issues of the state. He targeted the Center over the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids in the state and accused it of misusing central agencies against Congress leaders for political gains. He said, “They have ED and we have seven guarantees.” Gehlot also targeted BJP candidate Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore from Jhotwara assembly constituency of Jaipur, saying that he is not able to campaign in the constituency.

He also targeted Rathore for his comments against Congress. Rathore had described the Congress leadership as anti-national and selfish. Earlier, Gehlot conducted a road show on the launch of Garanti Yatra. The yatra started from Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple and ended at Chhoti Chaupar via Panchavati Circle, Pink Square Mall, Ghatgate, Sanganeri Gate, Govind Devji Temple, Badi Chaupar.
