Congress Manifesto: Congress approaches Election Commission against PM Modi

Congress Manifesto: Wherever Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding rallies or public meetings regarding the Lok Sabha elections, he has fiercely targeted the Congress. PM Modi also attacked Congress in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. Describing the Congress manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections as a bundle of lies, Modi said, this is a manifesto that exposes the Congress. Modi said, you see, there is a smell of dismemberment of India on every page. The manifesto of Congress reflects the same thinking which was in the Muslim League at the time of independence. Congress wants to impose the ideas of that time on Muslim League’s India today. He said, the leftists have taken over the remaining part of this manifesto bearing the imprint of Muslim League. Today’s Congress has neither principles nor policies left. It seems that Congress has given everything on contract.

Congress demands action against PM Modi from Election Commission

Congress leader Salman Khurshid said, we are very saddened by what Prime Minister Narendra Modi says in his speeches, what he has said about our manifesto is a pack of lies, we are very saddened by this. You may disagree with someone else. You can argue, you can dissect it, but to say that a national level party which has been involved in our national movement will write a pack of lies in its manifesto. He further said, we are extremely saddened by this matter and we understand that the Prime Minister has no right to say such a thing. We have placed this matter before the Election Commission and have made a special request to them to take it seriously and take action on it.

Many complaints were lodged before the Election Commission against BJP and PM Modi: Pawan Kheda

Congress leader Pawan Kheda said after meeting the Election Commission, we raised many issues before the Commission. We lodged a strong objection to the way the Prime Minister gave status to the Muslim League in our manifesto. We also expressed our views on the hoardings of the Prime Minister in universities. Objections were also lodged on the affidavit of Rajiv Chandrashekhar ji, who is the BJP candidate. The government is also banning some YouTube channels, we have lodged an objection on that too that it does not come under their jurisdiction after the elections are announced, this decision can be taken by the Election Commission. The Election Commission may or may not recommend whoever it wants to remove. At present there is a caretaker government and they do not have the right to impose restrictions on freedom of expression like this.
