Congress leader arrested in Nalhati doctor and BJP leader murder case

It has been told that on April 24 last, the bloody dead body of an elderly doctor was found from his house on the second floor of the house near the railway gate in ward four of Nalhati municipality of Nalhati police station area of ​​Birbhum. After getting the information, the police had reached there and got the dead body done from Rampurhat Medical College and Hospital. Dr. Madan Lal Chowdhary was a well-known physician. He contested the general elections twice on a BJP ticket from the Birbhum Lok Sabha seat. However, both times he had to defeat the CPI(M) candidate.

Rampurhat SDPO Dhiman Mitra said that on April 30, five days after the incident, five accused were arrested. After this, the accused Rajesh Sheikh was also nabbed on Sunday night. He is a resident of Ward 12 and an active Congress worker. The remaining five accused are currently behind bars in judicial custody. On Monday, the police has given an application to take the accused Rajesh Sheikh in remand for 10 days by presenting him in the Rampurhat divisional court.
