Congress IT Notice: Acharya Pramod Krishnam said – A thief never says that he is a thief.

Congress IT Notice: Former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam made a big attack and said that when the goods arrive, they bring many problems. Congress should explain why it has received notices worth hundreds and crores of rupees. Jairam Ramesh and KC Venugopal should answer whether Rs 1800 crore has become Rs 18 thousand crore. The truth is that ‘a thief never says that he is a thief’. ‘The robber never says he is a robber’, ‘The robber never says he is a robber’. The truth is that the country’s money has been looted and this is a fact. He further said, when this robbery is being investigated then what is the problem in it? If he is a true patriot, he should face investigation. They should have faith in the judiciary. The judiciary of India functions independently and away from government interference. When the judiciary gives a verdict in favor, it is right, but when it gives an order against our interest, it is wrong. This double standards will not work.

IT department gave big relief to Congress

In a major relief to the Congress, the Income Tax Department on Monday told the Supreme Court that it will not take any punitive action against the party in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in connection with the tax demand notice of about Rs 3500 crore. The court recorded the statement of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, representing the Income Tax Department, that no immediate action would be taken in the current circumstances till the final decision on the matter is taken.

Hearing on Congress’ petition adjourned till July 24

The Supreme Court bench adjourned the hearing on Congress’s petition on separate tax demand notices to July 24. Appreciating this stand, senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, appearing for the Congress, said that all the demand notices for different years were issued in February and March, which totaled Rs 3500 crore. The party had said on Friday that it had received a notice from the Income Tax Department, asking it to pay about Rs 1,823 crore. Tax authorities have already withdrawn Rs 135 crore from the party’s accounts for tax demands related to previous years.
