Congress is suffering from amnesia like the character of ‘Ghajini’: Devendra Fadnavis

  • Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said Congress leaders are suffering from amnesia like the hero of the film “Ghajini” as they immediately forget their election promises after winning. The Bharatiya Janata Party leader was addressing an election rally in Burhanpur assembly constituency of Madhya Pradesh ahead of the elections to be held on November 17.

  • Fadnavis said, “Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi come and make announcements. Kamal Nath also gives assurance every day. Ask him which of the assurances given in (Congress-ruled) Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan were fulfilled. He is suffering from amnesia. Have you seen the movie Ghajini? Congress is suffering from ‘Ghajini’ disease.” It is noteworthy that the character played by Aamir Khan in the 2008 Hindi film ‘Ghajini’ is suffering from amnesia.

  • Fadnavis said that Congress leaders make announcements and forget them after winning. He said that after winning the elections he thinks about his family. They do not think about the people and the poor. The BJP leader said that on the other hand, under the rule of (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi and (Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister) Shivraj Singh Chouhan, attention was paid to the common people and the poor. The BJP leader said that the promise of ‘Roti, Kapda and Makaan’ was being made since the formation of the first government in the country after independence, but it was fulfilled only when the Modi government came to power at the Centre.

  • Urging Madhya Pradesh voters to keep the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) back in power, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said if “by some small mistake” the Congress forms the government, the state will development will stop. Voting for assembly elections will be held in the state on November 17.

  • Fadnavis said in the election meeting of BJP in Indore-3 assembly constituency, “At present there is a ‘double engine’ government of BJP in Madhya Pradesh, but due to some small mistake, if Congress government comes, then the train of development will stop. Because when the engine of Narendra Modi government will try to take this train forward on the path of progress, the engine of Kamal Nath government will pull it backward.

  • The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra said that Prime Minister Modi has introduced a new model of poor welfare and inclusive development in the country. Fadnavis claimed that during the assembly elections, the Congress is continuously distributing “bundles of promises” to the voters, but they are not going to get these bundles. He alleged that Congress has failed to fulfill its election promises in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh also.

  • Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam has said in a statement that some party leaders allegedly hate the word “Hindu”. Citing this statement, Fadnavis targeted the Congress and said, “We are already saying that these people do not belong to Ram and are not even useful.”
