Colorful inauguration of Rajgir Makar Mela tomorrow, food and agriculture stalls along with dance and cricket match, know the complete program

Rajgir. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, grand preparations have been made for the colorful beginning of the Government Makar Mela on Sunday. Rajgir, famous for spirituality, tourism and Panch Paharis, is all set to welcome the devotees, pilgrims, tourists and villagers coming to the Makar Mela. Rural development to inaugurate the fair on Sunday Minister Shravan Kumar Will be done by. Apart from MP Kaushalendra Kumar, all the MLAs and Legislative Councilors of the district have been invited to the inauguration ceremony. A grand pandal called Hangar Dome has been built in the main venue of the youth hostel (Mela Thana) complex. The stage built inside the pandal has been decorated and adorned with twinkling lights. Two Rambo pandals have also been made around the youth hostel. 47 stalls have been constructed at that place for exhibitions.

The main venue is glowing with milky and yellow lights. In this eight-day long state Makar Mela, there are vigorous preparations for colorful cultural programs and captivating performances by national artists and local artists every evening. He is also continuously rehearsing. Every possible effort has been made by the district administration to make the Government Makar Mela of Rajgir attractive and effective.

The fair started with chanting of Vedic mantras and blowing of conch shell.

The preparations for the fair are being constantly reviewed by DM Shashank Shubhankar, DDC Vaibhav Srivastava and other officials. The fair is now visible in its true form. Let it be known that people wait for this fair for a year. That wait is now over. On Sunday, the fair will be inaugurated with recitation of Vedic mantras and blowing of conch shell. The fair area has been attractively decorated and maintained. Dozens of archways have been installed on various roads of Rajgir.

Registration is necessary to participate in Dahi Khao competition

For the first time in the history of Makar Mela, a Dahi Khao competition has been organized. To participate in this competition, participants are required to register. In this competition, the participants have to eat the most curd in three minutes. The one who eats the most curd during this period will be declared the best winner.

Farmers will display high quality products in agricultural exhibition

Agricultural exhibition is also one of the hallmarks of Makar Mela. On this occasion, farmers organize attractive exhibitions of their advanced products. Exhibition of products like potato, cauliflower, cabbage, brinjal, pumpkin, kohra, carrot, radish, turnip, beetroot etc. is organized. Farmers with best products are encouraged by giving awards.

In this exhibition, cattle farmers from the area including Rajgir bring their milch cows and buffaloes decorated in an attractive manner. After evaluating the improved breed of cows and buffaloes, milk weight, their structure etc. by the nodal officials of the exhibition, they are honored with cash and certificate.

Various types of shops decorated in the fair area

Various types of shops have been set up in the fair area. There are shops selling everything from food to entertainment, utensils, toys, Lodhi-Silauti etc. The land is being arranged by the contractor of the fair. Only after the settlement deal is done, any shopkeeper is setting up shop in the fair area. Apart from Meena Bazaar, cosmetics shops, shops of toys, other goods etc. are being set up in the fair area.

There will be acrobatics in the kite festival

Like every year, this year too a kite festival has been organized during Makar Mela. Earlier only kite flying was celebrated. The best kite flying acrobats were rewarded by the administration. This time, apart from those displaying acrobatics, there will also be a competition for those displaying fancy and attractive kites. Those whose kites are attractive and fancy will also be rewarded.

Sub-divisional officer Kumar Omkeshwar and NDC KK Upadhyay said that all the necessary preparations for the fair have been completed. Apart from Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, MP, MLA, DM Shashank Shubhankar, SP Ashok Mishra, DDC Vaibhav Srivastava and other officials will participate in the inauguration ceremony. Every possible effort has been made to make the fair historic and memorable.

Special cleaning of event venues was done

Special cleaning has been done in the fair area and various programs taking place during the fair. Instructions have been given to the concerned department for uninterrupted electricity and water supply. 15 magistrates, police officers and police forces have been deployed at different places in the fair area. The administration has made strict security arrangements in the fair area.

Control Room at Main Venue

A control room has been built at the main venue. After any person gives any kind of information to the control room, immediate action will be taken by the administration. He said that arrangements for vehicle parking have been made at different places. Magistrate, police officer and police force have also been deployed at the parking lot.

There is maximum crowd in springs and ponds.

During Makar Mela, the number of people taking bath in hot water springs and ponds is highest. Therefore, arrangements for crowd management and control have been made separately by the administration. Magistrate, police officers and many police force personnel have been deployed here also.
