Bareilly News: Eight people in a car returning home from a wedding ceremony were burnt to death near Dabhaura village on the Bareilly-Nainital highway late Saturday night in Bhojipura police station area in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. In the accident, the car went out of control, broke the divider and collided with the dumper coming from the other side. After this, both the vehicles caught fire with a loud explosion. The dumper driver somehow managed to escape with his life. But, all the people in the car got trapped in the flames and they were burnt alive to death. Police are prima facie calling it a case of accident due to the car driver dozing off. After the accident, senior officials reached the spot and the burnt bodies were taken out. Senior Superintendent of Police Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan said that the fire was extinguished with the help of the fire team. All the bodies have been completely burnt.
Sumit Gupta, living in Ramlila locality of Bahedi in Bareilly district, is a grocery shopkeeper. He told that customer Asif, resident of Narayanangala village, often comes to the shop. He had asked for Ertiga car on Saturday morning. He had told his nephew Furkan to attend the wedding in Bareilly. Due to prior acquaintance, the car was given to him on Asif’s insistence. According to the police, on Saturday night Furkan and others attended a wedding at Faham Lawn in Bareilly. After 10 pm, he told some people at the function that he was going back home. After this, at around 11 pm, the car went out of control after moving one kilometer from Bhojipura police station.

Eyewitnesses said that the speed of the car was very high. Due to this, the vehicle broke part of the divider of the four lane and reached the other side. At the same time, a dumper coming from Kichha in Uttarakhand had a horrific collision with its car. Within a few moments the car caught fire. The people sitting in it screamed and asked for help, but were left stranded as the doors of the car did not open. Some people present at the spot tried to break the glass. But, but could not reach the car due to high flames. Meanwhile the dumper also caught fire. On receiving information, some people brought fire extinguishers from the neighboring petrol pump. He tried to extinguish the fire through it. But, the fire could not be controlled.

Meanwhile, on receiving information, two fire brigade vehicles immediately reached the spot. After about half an hour there was success in extinguishing the fire. But, by then all the eight people in the car had burnt to ashes. There is also an eight year old boy among them. Police area officer Chaman Singh Chavda said that according to the car owner Sumit, Furkan had taken the car saying that he was attending a relative’s wedding. This accident happened on the way back. According to car owner Sumit, he had given the car only for the wedding ceremony. Furkan had to attend the wedding along with his family, so he could not refuse. On the other hand, father Bhure told that Furkan was the driver of Sumit’s car for some time. He had to attend the wedding. According to the police, the car owner is being interrogated. It is possible that he may be driving the vehicle on hire without taxi registration. Now you are misleading to avoid action after the accident.
