In the interest of the students, the Education Department has decided that all the degree colleges where students are enrolled and studying in class 11th, should also be included as an option on the OFSS portal which will be live (opened) from March 21. So that if the students wish, after achieving success in the annual examination of class 11th, they can enroll in class 12th and study in the same degree college. This decision has been taken in the context of the academic session 2023-25.
Got the option to study in college
This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Director of Secondary Education Kanhaiya Lal Srivastava on Thursday. According to the official letter issued after the meeting, the situation was that after the completion of the annual examination of the students enrolled and studying in class 11th for the academic session 2023-25 in the degree colleges (constituent/affiliated/minority) of the state, class 12th The OFSS portal was made live from March 21, but all the degree colleges where intermediate level classes are being taught were not included as an option. In the above situation, the 11th class students enrolled in those degree colleges on the portal made live have been given the option to study in the same college after passing the examination.
Deputy Chief Minister had given assurance
The inter level studies currently being conducted in various degree colleges of the state have been discontinued from the academic session 2024-26. In the same sequence, after discussing with the officials of Bihar School Examination Committee, regarding the arrangements for enrollment and study of students enrolled in class 11th in class 12th in various category degree colleges of the state during the academic session 2023-25, this The decision has been taken. Inter students have been given the choice of enrollment
Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar has said that effective schemes in favor of students in the state will be given more momentum. So that they can be provided quality education in schools. He said that the entire focus of the department will be on giving impetus to student-centric work. We have to raise the level of education in Bihar at any cost. Regarding the dissatisfaction of the students studying Intermediate in colleges, the Education Minister made it clear that the cabinet has taken the decision after careful consideration. In this context, children have been given choice to enroll in school. Therefore, they should enroll in the school of their choice. The Education Minister said that the state government will provide all kinds of cooperation for the betterment of higher education. Our thinking in this direction is clear that the education system has to be improved.
