Moradabad: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday unveiled a 51 feet tall statue of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh in Bilari, Moradabad. Also honored 16 progressive farmers. CM paid tribute to him and said that Chaudhary Charan Singh deeply understood the economy of India. He believed that if farmers remain poor, India will be poor. The path to India’s prosperity goes through villages, fields and barns. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought comprehensive changes in the lives of farmers.
CM Yogi said that now there are no riots in UP. Everything is fine here. Daughters go to school. Strict action is being taken against those who violate the law. The double engine government is moving ahead at the speed of the bullet train of development. Uttar Pradesh is becoming the engine of development of the country with its strength and potential. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that earlier governments used to be ahead and society was behind, but now Chaudhary Charan Singh Memorial and Jat Mahasabha are ahead. The government is standing behind them. The Chief Minister said that in the last nine and a half years, there has been a massive change in the lives of farmers under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme and the Prime Minister Agricultural Irrigation Scheme have opened the doors to the prosperity of farmers. In UP alone, additional facility of irrigation has been provided to 22 lakh hectares of land in six years. The Chief Minister said that earlier only MSP was announced, but the double engine government implemented it. Farmers got respect through the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi and crores of rupees reached their accounts.
120 sugar mills running in UP
He said that earlier sugar mills used to be destroyed. Sugarcane farmers were worried. 120 sugar mills are running in UP and so far sugarcane payment worth Rs 2 lakh 25 thousand crore has been made to the farmers. When we came, sugarcane was cultivated in 18 lakh hectares of the state. Today, farmers are cultivating sugarcane on 29 lakh hectares. Solar panels were given to 52 thousand farmers in the state. This year the subsidy of 30000 farmers is going to be increased. A target of 42000 has been set from next year. The double engine government has given free tractors to the farmers. The cooperative sugar mill was revived as per the wishes of Chaudhary Charan Singh. The sugar mill is purchasing sugarcane from the farmers of Baghpat and surrounding areas at full capacity and paying them.
Ganga Expressway is connecting Western UP to Eastern UP.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the pace of development is going on rapidly in the state. Purvanchal Express, Bundelkhand Express is ready. Work on Ganga Expressway is going on war footing to connect Western UP with Lucknow, Varanasi and Prayagraj. The government is going to provide employment and job guarantee to the youth of UP by developing industrial clusters. We are going to start air service from Moradabad very soon. More than Rs 1500-1600 crores are being exported from Brass City. The double engine government has provided resources to the people of the state. Our condolences are for the citizens of the state. Their security should be more solid. The government is working to advance farmers, youth and women. Our government is continuously working for the welfare of Annadata farmers.
