CM Yogi said – The poor are heard when the government is sensitive, do not let the evils that hinder development flourish.

Gorakhpur News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Gorakhpur on Saturday on his two-day visit. Here he came to participate in the mass wedding ceremony organized at Mahant Digvijaynath Park on the banks of Ramgarhtal. He blessed about 1500 newly married couples participating in this program. During this, the Chief Minister said in his address that the state government has conducted about 3 lakh marriages since 2017 under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme. In this ceremony organized by the Social Welfare Department, 1500 couples tied the sacred knot of marriage. The newlyweds included both Hindus and Muslims. Blessing all the new couples, the Chief Minister wished them a happy life. On this occasion, he presented certificates and gift Shagun Kit to 10 new couples from the stage. While giving the certificates, the Chief Minister also had an intimate conversation with the couples. Bansgaon MP Kamlesh Paswan, Gorakhpur Rural MLA Vipin Singh and senior BJP leaders were present in the Chief Minister’s mass marriage ceremony along with State Government Fisheries Development Department Minister Dr Sanjay Nishad.

Many poor families are deprived of the sacred sacrifice of marriage due to the evils of dowry.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that when the government is sensitive, the poor and weak people are heard. They get the benefits of government schemes with complete transparency without any discrimination. The double engine government of the Center and the State is such a sensitive government. This government is definitely providing the benefits of the welfare schemes of the government without any discrimination. It is also trying to eliminate the evils of the society with public cooperation. The Chief Minister said that due to the evil practices of dowry, many poor families are deprived of the sacred sacrifice of marriage. This event is an innovative effort towards completely getting rid of child marriage and ending the atrocities of dowry. He said that we should not allow any evil to flourish in the society which hinders the development of the society.

Central government’s commitment to women empowerment

The Chief Minister said that the Central and State Governments are committed to empowerment and are taking every necessary step in this regard. Many programs like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Matru Vandana are proving important in the direction of women’s safety and inspiration. He said that moving forward in the direction of women empowerment, the government has also passed a new bill in the Parliament. Under this, on the lines of Gram Panchayat and Municipal bodies, women will also get the benefit of 33 percent reservation in Parliament and Assembly. The Chief Minister said that it is the result of efforts for women empowerment that 1 crore 75 lakh women in Uttar Pradesh and 9 crore 60 lakh women in the country are getting the benefits of Ujjwala Yojana. During this, the Chief Minister described the scheme of providing houses, toilets and Ayushman cards to the poor as a part of the campaign of women empowerment along with emerging from poverty.

The amount of Kanya Sumangala Yojana will be Rs 25000

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that to further strengthen women empowerment, under Kanya Sumangala Yojana, a package of Rs 15,000 is provided from the birth of the daughter till her education. In the new financial year, it will be increased to Rs 25,000. Not only will the daughter’s education be free, this amount will also be available for her other expenses from the scheme.
