Lucknow News: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the doctor teachers of medical colleges and AYUSH to devote their time regularly in OPD along with teaching. He quipped to the new medical teachers that they should not abuse themselves and should not abuse us either. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was speaking in the program of distribution of appointment letters to 278 assistant teachers, 2142 staff nurses and 48 AYUSH medical teachers on Tuesday. On this occasion, 674 ambulances and 81 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances under the Emergency Ambulance Service were flagged off. CM Yogi said that the health department has increased its services in the last six years, today 774 new ambulances and 81 advanced life support ambulances are being flagged off. The Chief Minister said that no matter how much wealth a person has in life. But, if his health is not good then all this has no value for him. Our tradition also says that all the means of religion are possible only through a healthy body. Today, along with allopaths, AYUSH doctors are also included in the appointment letter distribution program.
Teaching work starts from new session in 14 new medical colleges
CM Yogi Adityanath said that in the last six and a half years, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state has improved its health services. Chief Minister Yogi said that earlier when going to other states, the name of the state had to be hidden. But, now the situation has changed. There were only 12 medical colleges in the state from 1947 to 2017. But now 18 new medical colleges have become active, construction of 14 new medical colleges is going on, in which the admission process is going to start from the new session. The Chief Minister said that nursing and paramedical colleges are also being opened in the state. The quality of education is also increasing. Along with medical, paramedical and nursing staff have their own role. It is the backbone of health services. With this in mind, an initiative has been taken so that quality service can be provided, rather than as a formality, so that we can make our best efforts. To bring about a radical change in medical education in the state, the initiative of their own university ‘Atal Medical University’ has been initiated. With this, all the medical colleges of the state will be affiliated.
Dialysis facility started in 72 districts
CM Yogi Adityanath said that excellent results have been seen in health services. We are providing health cover of Rs 5 lakh to about 10 crore people under Ayushman Bharat or Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Today no poor person can say that due to lack of health facilities he has been deprived of treatment. Dialysis facility has been started in 72 districts. ICUs have been established in every district. Taking steps towards improving health facilities, efforts have been made to bring the response time of ambulance services 108 and 102 to the minimum level. Two AIIMS have also started in Gorakhpur and Rae Bareli.
The speed of development increases manifold in double engine government.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that it is seen that when there is a double engine government, the speed of development also increases manifold and this speed is in front of all of us. The Chief Minister said that the Government of India formed the Ministry of AYUSH to promote our ancient medical system in the field of medical education. Today the AYUSH department also has its own AYUSH University. Along with this, we are moving ahead rapidly in giving recognition to the new college. With the establishment of the Health and Wellness Centre, many other programs are being taken forward rapidly. There are vast possibilities in this field.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that doctor teachers of medical colleges and AYUSH have been asked to give time in OPD also.
