Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the establishment of compressed gas plants in 8 districts of the state in a press conference at his official residence in Lucknow. CM Yogi said that an action plan is being prepared for this soon. Work is being done to create a smoke free environment in the state. Arrangements will also be made to burn farmers’ stubble. Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri was also present on this occasion. The Chief Minister will inaugurate a plant and lay the foundation stone of 8 plants in Badaun today. CM Yogi said that according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Waste to Wealth’, bio gas is the best option. This is not only a solution to the problem of smog in NCR but also a medium to increase the income of farmers. In the press conference, Petroleum Secretary of the Government of India, Pankaj Jain gave information about the incentives being given by the Government of India for the establishment of compressed bio gas plants. Praising the bio fuel policy of the UP government, he said that under the bio fuel policy of UP, there is a provision of giving a grant of up to Rs 20 crore for the establishment of bio energy plants. There is a favorable opportunity to do better in this sector in UP. There is stubble here, there is commitment of the government and there is also potential. This will also create huge employment opportunities for the youth.

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has announced that 100 new biogas plants will soon be established in Uttar Pradesh. He said that today a new compressed bio gas plant is going to be inaugurated in Badaun district and the foundation stone of new compressed bio gas plants will also be laid in 8 other districts of the state. Till now, the process of land selection etc. for setting up 37 plants has been completed. For this, we are getting huge support from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. While talking to the media in Lucknow, the Union Minister said that in the last seven years, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi, Uttar Pradesh has moved beyond the category of BIMARU state and has done excellent work in every sector. Discussing the features of the plant that is going to be inaugurated in Badaun, he said that this plant, developed in 50 acres with an investment of about Rs 135 crore, will produce about 14 tonnes of compressed bio gas every day. This bio gas is also very useful for the treatment of stubble.
