CM Yogi flagged off 100 new buses, know from which districts how many buses will run

Lucknow. Smooth travel and safe travel is the right of every citizen. It becomes the responsibility of the government that the trust with which a passenger travels, we should fulfill this right of him while discharging our duties honestly. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said this while flagging off 93 new Rajdhani service and 7 ordinary BS-6 buses at his official residence on Saturday. He said that the figures of deaths due to road accidents in front of us are very frightening. If I present the figures of Uttar Pradesh only within a year, then a terrible scene emerges. More deaths occur in road accidents in a year than those who did not die due to a disease like Corona in three years. This is not only a warning for all of us, but also a matter of concern.

There should be bus facility to every village and every city

CM Yogi called for an awareness campaign in the state to prevent road accidents and deaths due to it. He said that it would be a national program to start a massive awareness campaign to prevent death from any accident. On this occasion, arrangements should be made to increase the programs that the Transport Corporation is running more effectively. It should be our effort that those people who want to use the service of public transport within Uttar Pradesh by the buses of the Transport Corporation, we will have to provide this type of facility to those people. Not only at the corporation level, if required, we will have to provide transport and bus service facilities to every village by associating private operators with a regulation. If we make this facility available to every village, then it will be easy for the people and people will use public transport.

Demand for electric buses is increasing in the state

While discussing the importance of electric buses, CM Yogi said that where the electric bus service has started. There a new demand has started among the people. We have currently started electric bus service in 10 cities of UP. Wherever you go, every person says that electric bus service should be started here too. On this occasion, I would like to say that the time has come, the bus stations should be good, safe, our bus service should be according to the demand of the people. It is not necessary that we try to increase the fleet of the Transport Corporation by taking money from the government. It should be our endeavor to not only increase the existing resources of the Transport Corporation, but also to connect every village and every city with the best bus service by connecting private operators to it, then the rate of deaths due to road accidents in Uttar Pradesh will also decrease. Success will be achieved in bringing it to the minimum level.

Transport Corporation is doing a great job while taking forward the journey of 50 years

CM Yogi congratulated the Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation on completing its journey of 50 years. He said that a few months before independence, on May 15, 1947, a state transport service was started in Uttar Pradesh. Its purpose was to make people travel smoothly and safely. The same state transport service moved forward as the Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation on June 1, 1972 and is doing a great job by taking forward the journey of 50 years as the largest unit of public transport in the state with the largest population of the country. Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, Chairman Transport Corporation Prashant Trivedi, Principal Secretary Transport Venkateshwar Lu, MD Masoom Sarwar and Transport Department on the occasion of starting 100 capital services as a result of this journey of 50 years of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation.
