Opposition targeted the government: Here, after the incident, the general secretary of the opposition AIADMK and leader of the opposition K Palaniswami said that there was no place for illegal liquor in the ten-year rule led by his party. He blamed the ruling DMK government for the incident. In a tweet, he said that at least now steps should be taken against illegal liquor. At the same time, Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder Dr. S. Ramdas has also demanded action against the officials concerned for the sale of spurious liquor.
