CM Hemant Soren’s land case is to be interrogated today, but there is doubt over the Chief Minister going to the ED office.

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren is to be interrogated on Tuesday. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent him summons and directed him to appear at the regional office in Ranchi on December 12 at 11:00 am for questioning. However, the program of Shri Soren’s visit to Dumka is already fixed under ‘Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar’. Therefore, there is doubt about his reaching the ED office for questioning. This is the sixth summons to be sent to him for questioning in connection with the land.

Earlier, he was summoned twice in the Sahibganj illegal mining case. He had appeared for questioning on the second summons issued in connection with illegal mining. But, he had challenged the summons issued in connection with the land in the court. However, after not getting relief, ED has issued the sixth summons. It is noteworthy that during the investigation of land purchase on the basis of fake documents, ED had sent summons to Chief Minister Hemant Soren and directed him to appear on August 14.

However, the Chief Minister accused the ED of working out of political hatred and said that if the summons were not withdrawn, he would approach the court. After this he filed a petition in the Supreme Court. However, the Supreme Court did not give him relief and gave him a chance to express his views in the High Court. He did not get any relief even from the High Court. Meanwhile, summons kept being sent to him by ED.

While investigating the documents related to the contracts given to Yogendra Tiwari and his related companies, ED had found that bank drafts were made from the same district for license fees for all the companies.

If CM does not follow the law, he should be dismissed: Babulal Marandi

Ranchi. State BJP President Babulal Marandi has targeted the sixth summons of ED sent to Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday. Said that the Chief Minister is advised to respect the ED’s summons and answer the ED’s questions without any delay. If the Chief Minister does not follow the law, the same cannot be expected from the common man. The Chief Minister repeatedly declares himself spotless in front of the media. ED is giving repeated opportunities to clear this confusion. They should go to the ED office and present their side. The one who takes the law into his hands and defies it, should be treated the same way. Mr. Marandi requested the Governor that if the Chief Minister does not follow the law, he should be dismissed.
