CM Arvind Kejriwal: The demand to remove Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal from the post of Chief Minister has arisen again. Former Aam Aadmi Party leader has filed a petition in Delhi High Court. Former Aam Aadmi Party leader Sandeep Kumar has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court to remove Arvind Kejriwal from the post of Chief Minister. Sandeep Kumar has said in his petition that after being arrested by ED, CM Arvind Kejriwal has become incapable of holding the post of CM. In such a situation, he should be removed from the post.

CM Kejriwal unable to hold the post- Sandeep Kumar

Former Aam Aadmi Party leader and minister Sandeep Kumar has said in the petition that after the arrest by ED in the Delhi Excise Policy case, CM Arvind Kejriwal has become unable to hold the post of CM. Sandeep Kumar has said that while in jail, he is unable to fulfill his constitutional obligations and functions under the provisions of Article 239AA (4), 167(B) and (C) as well as sub-section (1). Sandeep Kumar’s petition will be heard in Delhi High Court on 8 April 2024.

The case will be heard in the High Court on Monday

According to the report of news agency ANI, the hearing on Sandeep Kumar’s petition will be held in Delhi High Court on Monday i.e. 8th April. This case will be heard in the bench of High Court judge Justice Subramaniam Prasad. It is noteworthy that ED has arrested Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Excise case. At present he is lodged in Tihar Jail. At the same time, even after going to jail, Arvind Kejriwal had said that he will run the government from jail itself, but will not resign. Let us tell you, this is the first time in independent India that a serving Chief Minister has been arrested.

CM Kejriwal ignored the summons

It is noteworthy that in the Delhi Excise Policy case, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had ignored the ED summons and declared it illegal. Summons were sent to CM Kejriwal a total of nine times in the ED excise case, but Kejriwal did not go to the ED office even once to join the questioning, calling the summons illegal every time. After which ED had filed a case in the court. The entire case pertains to alleged irregularities and money laundering in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy 2022, which was later repealed.
