According to the Meteorological Department, the process of rain may start with thunder and lightning from Tuesday. The sky is cloudy since this morning. Due to which people have got some relief from this scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has told that it may rain intermittently for three days. Not only this, there is every possibility of thunderstorm before the rain. There is also a possibility of lightning during rains.

The people of Gorakhpur remained in the grip of heat wave for the 14th consecutive day. The maximum temperature was recorded at 42.3 degree Celsius on Monday. Which is 6 degree Celsius more than the average maximum temperature of the month of June. Due to sufficient moisture in the atmosphere, the heat index increased and people felt warmer than the record temperature by 3 to 4 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature was more than 28 degree Celsius. Due to which people did not get relief from the heat even at night.
Chance of rain in UP on June 22
Meteorologist Kailash Pandey said that the effect of the cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea has started reaching Gorakhpur and the surrounding areas from the southern part of eastern Uttar Pradesh via Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Rains may start in Uttar Pradesh from June 22. Although it is raining lightly in many districts. But the monsoon is expected to arrive in UP by June 21.
