‘Z Plus’ security to Kerala Governor
Amid growing protests by ‘Student Federation of India’ (SFI), the Union Home Ministry Governor Arif Mohammad Khan Has been provided ‘Z Plus’ security of CRPF. Kerala Raj Bhavan has posted this information on X.

Kerala Governor demonstrated on roadside after SFI members protested
Governor Arif Mohammed Khan came out of his vehicle after Student Federation of India (SFI) workers protested against him at Nilmel in Kollam district on Saturday and sat in front of a roadside shop demanding the arrest of the protesters. Khan took a chair from a shop on MC Road and sat there and demanded action against the protesters.

In the videos that are going viral on social media, Governor Khan is seen very angry. Khan can be seen talking to the policemen in a stern tone. Apart from the police, other officers and local people gathered in large numbers at the spot.
Students Federation of India members showed black flag while going to Kottarakkara
It is noteworthy that the Governor was going to Kottarakkara for a function, when many members of ‘Student Federation of India’, the student wing of the ruling Marxist Communist Party (CPI-M) in the state, protested by showing black flags on the way.
Why is the Governor being opposed?
There is tension between Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and the Left government over several issues, including the functioning of the state’s universities and non-signing of some bills passed by the Assembly.

Amidst the ongoing tension between the ruling Left Front government in Kerala and Khan, the Governor, in an unexpected move, on Thursday ended his address in the Assembly by reading only the last paragraph, thus indicating his displeasure with the government.
