Clash between two communities during idol immersion in Chapra, Bihar, area changed in police cantonment after stone pelting

A clash broke out between two communities during the immersion of Durga idol in Chapra, Bihar. The incident took place in New Bazaar locality of Bhagwan Bazaar police station area. Where devotees were going for immersion with the Durga idol at around 5 am on Friday morning. During this time, a dispute broke out between two communities over some issue. The matter gradually escalated and tension increased. During this time stone pelting started. A total of 5 people are reported to have been injured in the blockade, who were treated at Sadar Hospital. After receiving information about the incident, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Mangala and DSP Santosh Kumar reached the spot along with Bhagwan Bazar police station incharge Ranjit Kumar. The matter was pacified. A large number of police forces have been deployed in the incident area.
