CID will interrogate these two accused in Ranchi violence case, court gives permission

Ranchi: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will interrogate Nawab Chishti and Mohammad Shakeel alias Karu, accused in the Ranchi violence case that took place on June 10, 2022, in Hotwar Jail. The court of CJM Mithilesh Kumar Singh has given permission for this on Friday. CID will interrogate both of them in the case registered in the Daily Market police station besides Doranda and Hindpiri. The informant of this case is Amit Bhagat, the then Town CO of Ranchi. In the FIR registered on his application, 22 people including Nadeem Ansari, Shahbaz, Shadab, Saddam Hussain, Shabbir Ansari, Jamal Gaddi were named and eight to ten thousand unknown people were made accused. At present CID is investigating this case. It has been alleged in the FIR that as part of a well-planned conspiracy, violence was carried out on the main road of Ranchi on June 10, 2022. The temple was pelted with stones and vandalized. An attempt was made to snatch their weapons from the policemen.

Pankaj Mishra’s bail hearing on 19th

During this, the ED sought time, which was accepted by the court. The court directed the ED to file its reply in the hearing on October 19. It is noteworthy that Pankaj Mishra had already filed a bail petition in the ED court in the same case, but the court had rejected his bail petition. After this he approached the High Court and the Supreme Court, but both the courts rejected his petition. Pankaj Mishra was arrested by ED on 19 July 2022. During the investigation, ED has also seized Rs 11.88 crore deposited in 37 bank accounts of Pankaj Mishra, Dahu Yadav and their associates.
