Ranchi: On the recommendation of Ranchi Police, CID has taken over the case registered in Sadar police station against former Revenue Sub Inspector of Badgai Zone Bhanu Pratap Prasad. Research has also been started. During the investigation, CID will take further action in the case on the basis of statements and facts of the witnesses. It is noteworthy that after the raid, on the instructions of ED, Ranchi District Administration had lodged an FIR against Bhanu Pratap Prasad in Sadar Police Station on June 1, 2023.
It was mentioned in the FIR that during the ED raid, 17 Panji-2 related to land records were found from the house of Bhanu Pratap Prasad. Instead of keeping them in the office, Bhanu Pratap had kept them illegally with himself. The said 17 Register-2 were also tampered with. Many land-related DDs were also found in the trunk of his residence. This too should have been in the office as per the rules.
Bhanu Pratap Prasad has been arrested
Revenue employee Bhanu Pratap Prasad has been arrested under Section 19 of PMLA in the land scam. On the basis of people’s complaints, ED had started investigating this case of fraudulent purchase and sale of land. After this, IIR was registered against him on the basis of two FIRs registered in the land case. At present its hearing is going on in Jharkhand High Block also.
Physical verification was done by taking Bhanu Prasad Prasad to the ground.
