Child taken out for tuition in Gaya, Bihar kidnapped, ransom of Rs 5 lakh demanded

Imamganj (Gaya). Miscreants have kidnapped a teenager studying in ninth class from Kendua village of Imamganj police station area. The teenager has been identified as Happy Kumar, 14-year-old son of Surendra Prajapat. Happy is a student of Government Public High School located in Raniganj. Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the police met the family members and intensified the raid to recover the child.

Happy left home for tuition at 6:30 in the morning.

The kidnapped child’s grandmother Devanti Devi and mother Kiran Devi told that on Thursday morning at 6.30, Happy had gone from home to the village to study tuition. When he did not come home from tuition after being very late, his family started searching. During this time it came to light that his books were thrown on the food pond behind the Pax warehouse located in Kendua village. However, even after that the family members were investigating thinking that he might have gone out to play somewhere.

Ransom demanded from father over phone

Meanwhile, a call came on Happy’s father’s mobile. During this, Happy said through the kidnapper’s mobile that he has been kidnapped and the criminals are demanding Rs 5 lakh. After that the family members lost their senses and informed the police about the incident. After receiving information about the incident, the police has started investigating the matter. Here, the villagers told that in the morning a four-wheeler had crossed the village at a very high speed.

Police is examining CCTV footage

People have expressed apprehension that Happy might have been kidnapped from the same vehicle. However, the police are scanning the CCTV footage installed in the village and are continuously conducting raids to reach the criminals. Imamganj DSP Amit Kumar said that information about the incident has been received. The matter is being investigated.

Kidnapped student’s father does farming

Villagers told that Surendra Prajapat, father of kidnapped student Happy, does farming and sustains his family through it. There is no fight or enmity with anyone. It is not known for what reason Happy has been kidnapped. Surendra Prajapat has two daughters and one son.
