Chief Minister Hemant Soren said- ED’s questions are beyond the facts and wrong, yet come to the residence on 31st.

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren accused the ED of being politically motivated and stopping the elected government from working. He termed the questions asked by ED on January 20 as beyond the facts and wrong. Also, despite being busy with the budget session, he has sent an e-mail to the ED agreeing to record his statement at his residence on January 31. Along with his objections, the Chief Minister has called the ED to his residence on January 31 at 1 pm to record his statement.

In the email sent by the Chief Minister, it has been said that 17-18 questions were asked by the ED during seven hours on January 20. Most of these questions were wrong. All the questions were related to the affidavit filed by him during the elections. Three-four questions were related to the land located at Badgai. It has also been said on behalf of the Chief Minister that the ED is making false allegations against him in the land case. The concerned land is of earthy nature. It cannot be bought or sold. This land has been with the Pahan family for five decades. Such questions are really a waste of time.

It has also been said in the letter that ED has investigated the business activities of Sohrai Bhawan. This business belongs to his wife. During the interrogation so far, no question has been asked by the ED which is related to the schedule offense under PMLA. In the letter, the CM has mentioned his busyness and said that there is a budget session in February. Despite knowing this situation, summoning him for questioning is a politically motivated attempt to stop the elected government from working.
