Chhavi Ranjan kept avoiding questions in the interrogation on the first day of remand, Vishnu Aggarwal will be present in ED office today

Ranchi: The investigation and action of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is going on in the case of purchase and sale of land by forgery in documents. In this sequence, ED officials have started questioning suspended IAS Chhavi Ranjan on remand. On the first day of the remand, ED officials asked Chhavi Ranjan questions related to the registrar’s responsibilities, functioning, besides meeting Prem Prakash, Amit Agarwal and Vishnu Agarwal. Meanwhile, Vishnu Aggarwal has to appear in the ED office on May 8 for questioning. Here, in the light of the order issued by the PMLA court, the Sahibganj police attached and seized only one place of absconding money laundering accused Dahu Yadav and his brother Sunil Yadav. The rest of the bases were abandoned.

Significantly, the ED has taken suspended IAS Chhavi Ranjan on remand from May 7 to 12 for questioning. Around 11:30 am on Sunday, ED officials took Chhavi Ranjan from jail to his office and started questioning him. The Deputy Commissioner of the district is also the Registrar. The powers of the Registrar remain delegated to the Sub-Registrar. The registrar has full control over the sub-registrars. In view of this, on the first day of remand, Chhavi Ranjan was asked questions related to the registrar’s powers, working system, inspection of sub-registrar’s works etc. After this he was asked questions related to Prem Prakash, Amit Agarwal and Vishnu Agarwal etc. The ED officials wanted to know whether they had heard about the activities and connections of these persons. Have you ever met him or not? What were the reasons for meeting? According to sources, Chhavi Ranjan kept trying to avoid these questions. But, he could not get complete success. After questioning, his statement was recorded.

Here, in the case of sale and purchase of land with the help of fake documents, the ED issued summons to businessman Vishnu Aggarwal for the second time and directed him to appear for questioning on May 8. After receiving the summons for the first time, Vishnu Aggarwal had sent information about his illness to the ED. After this, ED directed him to appear on May 8. After the summons issued for the second time, no information has been sent by Vishnu Agarwal to the ED till Sunday. This businessman has bought one acre of land on Cheshire Home Road. The purchase and sale of land has been done after forgery in the documents. The then Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi has an important role in this purchase and sale. Vishnu Aggarwal took him on a trip to Goa instead of this role.
