Chhattisgarh Naxal Encounter: Three Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security forces in Naxal-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Saturday. Police officials said that three Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security forces in the forest of Karriguta village on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border under Pujari Kanker area of the district.
Police officials said that Chhattisgarh’s security forces along with Telangana’s anti-Naxal force ‘Grey Hound’ are on anti-Naxal operation in the border areas of both the states. He told that when the joint team was in the forests of Karriguta village of Kanker, there was an encounter between the security forces and the Naxalites. Three Naxalites were killed in this encounter and weapons were also recovered from the spot. The operation against Naxalites is going on in the area.

10 Naxalites including a woman killed in encounter
Earlier on April 2, news had come that security forces had killed 10 Naxalites, including a woman Naxalite, in an encounter in the Naxal-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials had said that 10 Naxalites have been killed by security forces in an encounter in the forest of Lendra village under Gangalur police station area of the district. He told that after receiving information about Naxalite activity in Gangalur police station area, security forces were dispatched as part of anti-Naxalite operation. The team included personnel of DRG, STF and Cobra battalion of Central Reserve Police Force.
According to the police, earlier on March 27, security forces had killed six Naxalites in an encounter in Basaguda area of Bijapur. Let us tell you that Bijapur district falls in Bastar Lok Sabha constituency where voting is to be held in the first phase of general elections on April 19.
