Chhattisgarh: Big accident in CTJW College, blast in landmine during training, three jawans injured

Chhattisgarh News: Three soldiers were injured when a landmine exploded during training at the Counter Terrorism and Jungle Warfare (CTJW) College in Naxal-affected Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Saturday. The landmine exploded during training at CTJW College on Friday, officials said. He said that constables Shankar Lal, Lalit Pujari and Khirendra Nag were injured due to small pieces of landmine being hit in the incident.

According to officials, during training in the college on Friday, the jawans were practicing jungle fighting between firing and a landmine blast when a landmine exploded and three constables were injured. All three were injured after the incident, they said. The constables were taken to the district hospital located at Kanker district headquarters. The condition of all three is said to be normal.

The Counter Terrorism and Jungle Warfare College was established in Kanker district in 2004 with special emphasis on anti-Naxal activities and providing training to jawans. Till now thousands of jawans of state and central forces have been trained in CTJW College Kanker.
