The head of the state before the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel Inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 2,848 schemes worth Rs 1,000 crore. These schemes are for tribal dominated Bastar and Surguja districts. Officials told that the Chief Minister has taken many decisions in the interest of tribals and under this many development programs have been started. CM Bhupesh Baghel has also made several announcements in the interest of tribals in tribal-dominated southern region Bastar and northern region Surguja.
14 assembly seats in Surguja and 12 seats in Bastar
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel ‘World Tribal Day’ Took part in two programs on the occasion and inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development works worth one thousand crore rupees. 26 assembly seats out of 90 reserved
Out of these 26 seats, 20 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes. Nine assembly seats in Bastar division and 11 in Surguja division are reserved for STs. Out of 90 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh, 29 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the program organized at Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar district on Wednesday and later attended the program organized at Sitapur, development block of Surguja district.
Indoor stadium will be built in Jagdalpur at a cost of 100 crores
Officials said that during the program in Jagdalpur, Baghel talked about the opening of B.Ed and D.Ed colleges in all the district headquarters of Bastar division, construction and installation of Budhadev Gudi, a symbol of tribal culture in Jagdalpur and installation of an idol, indoor building at a cost of Rs 100 crore in Jagdalpur. Made many announcements including construction of stadium, renaming District Court Jagdalpur Chowk as ‘Bhumkal Chowk’.
Will make tribal cultural center in Surguja
Officials said that in a program organized on the occasion of World Tribal Day at Sitapur in Surguja district, the Chief Minister has decided to set up Tribal Cultural Center in Surguja, allot land for Sarva Adivasi Samaj and other societies, to attract tourists to tribals of the district. Necessary by the Tribal Development Department to make arrangements for providing other training to the educated unemployed (boys and girls) including tourist guides and to participate in various sports disciplines at the national/international level to the tribal boys and girls of the district. Chhattisgarh’s culture will get global recognition
Addressing the program in Sitapur, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that his government is continuously working to give global recognition to the culture of Chhattisgarh. Mr. Baghel said, ‘Today the echo of World Tribal Day is being heard from Eeb (a river originating from Jashpur district of Surguja region) to Indravati (a river flowing in Bastar region). We declared a public holiday in Chhattisgarh on the day of World Tribal Day, since then the people of tribal society celebrate World Tribal Day with great enthusiasm.
strengthened the rural economy
He said, ‘Our government has been continuously working for the benefit of all classes along with the tribal community for the last five and a half years. No one had thought that even cow dung would be procured, but we did it and made every possible effort to strengthen the rural economy.
Tendupatta collection rate increased from 2500 to 4000
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said, ‘To raise the economic-social standard of living of the tribals, we have increased the rate of Tendupatta collection from Rs 2500 to Rs 4000 per standard bag, the number of purchase of forest produce has been increased from seven to 65. Similarly, the dividend amount of Rs 44 crore was also transferred to the Forest Management Committee in their accounts today.
Organization will be formed in Surguja to save culture
Mr. Baghel said, ‘We established an organization named ‘Badal’ in Asana of Jagdalpur. There we are working to save tribal culture, literature and tradition. In Surguja also, an organization will be formed to save the culture of the tribals.
Bhupesh Baghel said in Jagdalpur: Bastar is an island of peace
Earlier, while addressing the program organized at Kakatiya College campus of Jagdalpur, Mr. Baghel said, ‘Bastar is an island of peace. It is full of natural beauty..Bastar has clean hearted people, hard working and honest people. The atmosphere of fear which was created for the last few years, today they are becoming free from fear. Today there has been a lot of reduction in violent incidents and the public is able to take advantage of it.
