Chhattisgarh: Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated 2848 development works worth 1000 crores in Bastar and Surguja, laid the foundation stone

14 assembly seats in Surguja and 12 seats in Bastar

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the program organized at Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar district on Wednesday and later attended the program organized at Sitapur, development block of Surguja district.

Indoor stadium will be built in Jagdalpur at a cost of 100 crores

Officials said that during the program in Jagdalpur, Baghel talked about the opening of B.Ed and D.Ed colleges in all the district headquarters of Bastar division, construction and installation of Budhadev Gudi, a symbol of tribal culture in Jagdalpur and installation of an idol, indoor building at a cost of Rs 100 crore in Jagdalpur. Made many announcements including construction of stadium, renaming District Court Jagdalpur Chowk as ‘Bhumkal Chowk’.

Will make tribal cultural center in Surguja

Officials said that in a program organized on the occasion of World Tribal Day at Sitapur in Surguja district, the Chief Minister has decided to set up Tribal Cultural Center in Surguja, allot land for Sarva Adivasi Samaj and other societies, to attract tourists to tribals of the district. Tendupatta collection rate increased from 2500 to 4000

Similarly, the dividend amount of Rs 44 crore was also transferred to the Forest Management Committee in their accounts today.

Organization will be formed in Surguja to save culture

Mr. Baghel said, ‘We established an organization named ‘Badal’ in Asana of Jagdalpur. There we are working to save tribal culture, literature and tradition. In Surguja also, an organization will be formed to save the culture of the tribals.

Earlier, while addressing the program organized at Kakatiya College campus of Jagdalpur, Mr. Baghel said, ‘Bastar is an island of peace. It is full of natural beauty..Bastar has clean hearted people, hard working and honest people. The atmosphere of fear which was created for the last few years, today they are becoming free from fear. Today there has been a lot of reduction in violent incidents and the public is able to take advantage of it.
