Chemical Factory Explosion: Officials said, there was an explosion and fire in the factory of SB Organics Limited located in Chandapur village of Hathnura mandal of the district at around 5 pm. This plant is about 40 kilometers away from Hyderabad International Airport. Officials said that the fire that spread in the premises of the pharmaceutical company was later controlled.

People present nearby were thrown away due to the explosion.

Police said that the deceased included the director and three employees of the pharma company, but further information about the deceased was not immediately available. A senior police officer said, there was an explosion in the reactor of the pharmaceutical company and the people present around it were thrown away due to the impact of the blast. Four people died. 16 other people injured in the incident have been sent to various hospitals for treatment. Officials said that the condition of two of the injured is critical and they have been referred to a hospital in Hyderabad. He said that the victims are from different states and the cause of the blast is being investigated.
