Ranchi: In view of the upcoming festivals, Chief Minister Hemant Soren will review the security arrangements of the state with top officials of Jharkhand Police at Project Bhawan from 1:00 pm on Friday. Administrative preparations being made regarding law and order, crime control and security will be the main points of this review meeting. Here, these days, checking campaigns are also being conducted by the police at various places for crime control. Despite this, biker gangs have created terror in the capital Ranchi. The promptness of the police is not working and the criminals are easily absconding after committing crimes of robbery and snatching.
In recent times, police checking has been increased regarding crime control. Verification of criminals was also done on a large scale. Besides, action was also taken against active criminals. Despite this, the police is not able to control crime in the capital. There were only seven incidents of robbery in the beginning of this year, while only four incidents were recorded in April. But, in the months that followed, the number of incidents of robbery and snatching, especially chain snatching, has increased. To commit chain snatching, criminals are especially targeting women walking in the streets. In the first two weeks of October itself, such incidents have taken place in various police station areas of the capital.
