Cheating is taking place in Ranchi under ‘Gold Loan’ scheme, DCB Bank defrauded, know what is the whole matter

Ranchi: A case of cheating of Rs 36,25,511 by various people by depositing fake gold under the ‘Gold Loan’ scheme has come to light in the branch of DCB Bank located at Newri in BIT OP area. A case has been registered in BIT OP on the complaint of branch head Amit Banerjee. These include Ormanjhi resident Ashok Kumar Swarnkar, Praveen Kumar, Renu Devi, Sahil Anwar, Sadar police station area resident Sanju Devi, Singhu Soni, Lower Bazaar police station area resident Ritesh Kumar Soni, Lalpur resident Dilip Soni, Mesra resident Jitendra Soni, Shanti Devi, Bermo ( Bokaro) resident Deepak Mahato and Palu (Ormanjhi) resident Uday Ganjhu have been made accused.

The gold jewelery pledged by the customers was valued through Kishan Kumar Singh and Ashutosh. Later, when the bank was visited by the appraiser included in the bank panel on September 3, 2023, it was found that the gold for which gold loan had been taken from the bank by claiming it to be genuine, was fake. After this, efforts were made to verify and contact the addresses of the loan takers, but without success. On the basis of the FIR lodged, the police have now started searching for the accused involved in the fraud.
