Cheating in the name of providing job in Kalyani AIIMS, four accused arrested

Hooghly. The police of Haripal police station of the district has busted a gang involved in cheating in the name of providing jobs. Four accused have been arrested after exposing a fraud of Rs 72 lakh in the name of providing jobs in Kalyani AIIMS. Hooghly Rural Police’s Additional Superintendent of Police Krishna Rai told a press conference at Haripal police station that these people have cheated in the name of providing jobs. A complaint was registered at Haripal police station. When the police started investigation, sensational information related to the fraud came to light one after another. First the police arrested a person named Bappa Raut from Kalyani, Nadia. After that Deepak Das, who was involved in the gang, was arrested from Durgapur. After interrogating them, the police came to know of two more fraudsters. Police arrested MD Bashar and Supriya Biswas from Tamluk and Ranaghat. At present Bappa Raut is in jail. The police is investigating the matter. Many fake documents related to appointment letters, four wheelers, two mobiles etc. have been recovered from the accused. Police said that the accused had spread the web of recruitment process across the country by posing as employees of Kalyani AIIMS. Shivnath De, a resident of Haripal, had complained about the fraud in the police station. He told that he had met Deepak Das in the year 2021. Deepak had described himself as a senior official of the state government. After this Shivnath De got trapped in his clutches. Shivnath gave Rs 72 lakh to Deepak and his associates in several stages to get jobs for his relatives in Kalyani AIIMS. After this the fake appointment process continued step by step. Fake appointment letter was also given. Four months later, Shivnath De came to know that he and his relatives had been defrauded. In December last year, Shivnath De lodged a complaint at Haripal police station and after this the police started investigation.
